Cotton Mitts

If the boat’s upper part is made of fiberglass, ensure the cleaning process is done using cotton mitts. The mitts ensure there is no risk of damage to the delicate glass. Gentle round motions are an excellent recommendation when cleaning materials.

Top-Down Approach

The washing should be done with a top to bottom approach. The top-down approach means that cleaning should start from the top parts and end with the lower components. Remember, dirt collects at the bottom of a ship, be sure also to wash the bottom side of the yacht to avoid clogging.

Always Dry After Cleaning

Remember to dry wet spots after the cleaning process. When water accumulates, it leaves spots that may start messing up the upper coating of the yacht. It also to avoid accidents such as slipping.

Wax the Yacht

After every 3 to 4 months, ensure that you apply a new coat of wax to your yacht. Do this as often as possible to prevent exposure of the boat to harsh elements. The wax will also give the boat a great look.
